Fits your existing pipeline

  1. 1

Export selects from Lightroom or Capture One

JPG or PNG — use your normal export settings. PixMiller doesn't replace your RAW processor.

  2. 2

    Upload to PixMiller

Choose transparent PNG (for compositing) or solid white (for direct delivery). Upload multiple images at once.

  3. 3

    Bring cutouts back into Photoshop

Layer them into your composites, apply final color grading, and deliver. The cutout step that used to take 10 minutes per frame now takes 5 seconds.

Pro tip for best hair edges

Shoot against a contrasting background — light subject on dark, or vice versa. PixMiller handles same-tone edges too, but contrast gives the cleanest result and saves you a touch-up pass.

Questions from working photographers

I shoot RAW. Can I send those files directly?
Not RAW files directly — export your selects from Lightroom or Capture One as JPG or PNG first, the way you normally would. The cutout quality depends on your export, so use your usual settings.
How good is it with hair, really? My clients are picky about flyaways.
The model is specifically trained on hair, fur, and semi-transparent edges. It preserves flyaways and wisps that the magic wand in Photoshop misses completely. Avoid extreme JPEG compression on export and you'll be impressed.
Will my clients be able to tell it's AI masking vs. my hand work?
For most portrait and product work, the result is indistinguishable from a skilled manual cutout. The 1% edge case — wispy hair against a same-color background — might need a quick touch-up. But that's one image, not all fifty.
